Lil’ Wayne announces Special post-VMA’s ‘Tha Carter IV’ Release

Weezy has confirmed that he be dropping the digital itunes copy of Tha Carter IV at midnight after the MTV Video Music Awards. Tha Carter IVwill be available on iTunes, Amazon.com and other digital outlets. The physical album will hit stores Aug. 29. Lil Wayne is up for two VMA awards. The show is scheduled to air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Lady Gaga, Adele and Chris Brown are also set to perform. Pitbull was just added to the lineup.

September 13, 2011 will mark the 15-year anniversary of Tupac Shakur’s death. XXL pays homage to the beloved, fallen rap legend in the mag’s forthcoming September issue, celebrating all things ’Pac. For the special tribute issue, XXL Editor-In-Chief Vanessa Satten sat down with Tupac’s biological father, Bill Garland. Among the interesting and revealing topics discussed. In addition, XXL spoke with ’Pac’s ex-wife, Keisha Morris, who shared the intimate details of their relationship. “I knew Tupac,” she said. “No one can take that away. I really knew him, and he would never hurt me.”

The XXL’s September 2011 issue, hits newststands nationwide on August 16.

Young Jeezy celebrates TM101 in NYC! Reveals New Album Release Date

Last Night Young Jeezy made history in New York City last night as he hit the stage with some classic Jeezy hits bringing out Kanye West, Jay-Z, Bun B, Fabolous and The LOX. Although Jeezy arrived late to his set, Jeezy gave NYC a show running through all his joints from TM101 before performing new hits from his upcoming album Thug Motivation 103. Oh yeah and about that album release date- TM103 SEPTEMEBER 20TH!
